SCMA
WINS! Jessica is the proud recipient of the SCMA Album
of the Year award for "Whirl & Twirl &
Swirl" as well as Female Artist of the Year. Jessica
has won eleven SCMA awards since her debut in 2001 and has
been named "Female Artist of the Year" five times
over!
ANOTHER
MOVIE SOUNDTRACK.. Jessica's songs are in the final
round of selection for another movie out of Hollywood.
Announcements will follow confirmation. This would be the
third movie Jessica's music and videos have appeared in.
NEW
CD UNDERWAY! Nashville's
Byron Hill has expressed interest in producing Jessica's
forthcoming third album. Jessica travels to Nashville in the
spring to write with Hill and several other notable
Nashville tunesmiths.
FIVE 2008 SCMA NOMINATIONS!
Jessica
was given a nod as
a nominee in the Entertainer, Female Vocalist, Single, Album
and Fiddle player categories. This recognition by her
peers has been both motivating and humbling for the artist/
songwriter. The awards show will take place in Prince Albert

AWARDS...Jessica appeared at the Canadian
Country Music Awards week in Regina Sept. 8-10th and
performed at the Industry Awards, Songwriter cafe and
Gospel Show.

AWARDS...Jessica took home the honours for Female Artist
of the Year and Song of the Year (Hummingbird) at the recent
Saskatchewan Country Music Awards held in Saskatoon.
PUBLICATION
FEATURE...Jessica was featured in the spring issue
of "Prairies North Magazine" in celebration of the
Juno's being held in Saskatchewan.
FOOD
BANK CD...Jessica and her fellow Saskatoon artists
(including the likes of Brad Johner, Sean Hogan and Melanie
Laine) have banded together under the direction of Ovide
Pilon to create a CD and video for the Food Bank titled,
'Across the Nation'. Details for release to come.
TELEVISION
SERIES FEATURE... Jessica's sophomore single, "I
Like This Place" was featured on the Canadian TV
documentary series, "Middle of Somewhere" this
past month.
MOVIE
SOUNDTRACK FEATURE... Jessica's
Hummingbird album track “There’s Something About
Planes” which she co-wrote with Steve Fox, will be
featured in the Lifetime Television movie, “Between Truth
and Lies”, starring Academy Award nominee, Mariel
Hemingway, (1979-Best Supporting Actress – Manhattan). The
song will play prominently during a pivotal roadhouse scene.
Since there is talk that the movie may also broadcast in
Canada; we’ll keep you posted as to possible air dates.
